Reef Safe: Yes
Whether or not a fish is "Reef Safe" simply refers to the fish's likelihood of eating corals clams, or invertebrates. If you're not keeping any of those than having a fish that is not reef safe might be perfectly fine for you! For those that do however should watch out, any fish marked as not being reef safe might end up eating all your corals.

Jumper: Ocassionally
A fish referred to as a "jumper" is one which might take large leaps out of the surface of your water on occasion. In order to house a fish known for jumping you need to ensure that your tank is completely covered or else your fish might go "carpet surfing" and be out of luck.

Description:
The Lawn Mower blenny can change from light to dark depending on environment and time of day. It is typically a grayish brown color with varying degrees of lightness. It has some detailed spots of reflective coloration on it's body when examined closely.

Diet:
The Lawn Mower blenny usually prefers a strict diet of algae, thought they may accept prepared frozen foods such as brine shrimp with time. Feeding can be done by attaching sheets of nori to rocks or with an algae holder. It is recommended that they are kept in a 30 gallon tank or larger to provide adequate algae for them to eat. Some individuals purchase this fish as a means to control algae, unfortunately they will often choose not eat nuisance algaes such as hair algae or bryopsis and instead go after other more manageable varieties. They will often leave small marks in the algae on the aquarium walls which appear as little kiss marks.

Temperament:
The Lawn Mower blenny can be aggressive with other small fish or fish in it's territory, thought it not an strong threat to most fish.
