Zoanthids (general)

Origin: Indo-Pacific Region

Description:
Zoanthids come in a variety of colors and sizes and can vary in price depending on rarity. They are rarely more than a 1-2cm in diameter. Some zoanthids can carry a toxin known as palytoxin and care should be exercised when fragging or moving zoanthids.

Lighting Requirements:
Zoanthids can do well under almost any lighting, but seem to prefer direct light whenever possible. They are not picky about their light source and great for beginners because of this.

Flow Requirements:
Zoanthids can handle almost any flow conditions so long as it's not excessively high flow.

Growth:
Zoanthids will spread by budding. They can quickly cover a rock in a network of zoanthids. On occasion they can break loose of the rock and float to a new location.
